Tim Vinnicombe has been fishing under sail and oar for oysters since he was 16 years old. Its a traditional fishery that has preseved this tough but satisfying way of life, as well as the stocks of oysters in the Fal.

Crystal Sea
David Stevens is skipper of the modern 20m trawler the Crystal sea. He fishes using a twin rig demersal trawl and has made numerous adaptations to the gear to improve its sustainability by reducing unwanted by catch.

Ben George handline fishes from the beautiful Sennen Cove, close to Land's End.
Rene
Chris and his crewman Scott fish out of Boscastle during the summer months mainly working about 50 pots. They also line for mackerel and bass and from time to time undertake some gill netting and long lining.
Rock Shellfish
Luke Marshall is a second generation shellfish farmer. From their base at Porthilly farm near Rock the Marshall family have been farming shellfish in the Camel estuary for over twenty years. Porthilly oysters and Rock Mussels are renowned for their quality and sustainablity and feature on menus across the county and further afeild.
Galwad Y Mor
Chris Blamey fishes from the harbour of Mevagissey aboard the wooden multipurpose fishing vessel Galwad Y Mor. Between July and January he fishes for Cornish Sardines, using a ring net. For the rest of the year he targets Pollack using wreck nets and travels much further afield.
Alf Smythers
Chris Ranger fishes for native oysters and queen scallops aboard his traditional oyster working boat the Alf Smythers. Fishing using oyster dredges the traditional way under sail and oar. Chris is also a registered fish merchant supplying a wide range of purified local sustainable shellfish.

Will Shugg fishes from Mevagissey, netting for mackerel and sole from his small wooden boat the Radjel.
Serene
Jake has been running Serene for the last 8 years and fishes sustainabily by potting for crabs and lobsters out of Newquay harbour.

Peter fishes from St.Mawes and together with his wife Angie, they run St.Mawes seafood. His family go back as seafarers in St.Mawes for 300 years and he is very passionate about trying to keep their fishing heritage alive. He has been fishing for over 40 years, first going to sea on a local trawler as a 9th birthday present.

James fishes out at Mounts Bay using pots, gill nets and handlines. He has been around fishing, boats and harbours since he was 9 years old. He started full time when he left school and brought his first boat at 19.

Aiden is a young St Ives fisherman that uses nets, pots and handlines to catch a range of fresh fish and shellfish. He is a part of the St Ives Fish Selling Co-op.

Nick is a handline fisherman – fishing from the Percuil estuary aboard his boat Gemini BD18.

Leon Emmet is a young fisherman from Newquay who fishes from a small boat the Boy Chris SS276. Leon fishes sustainably using pots, handline and nets, learning the trade from his dad Joe who also has a fishing boat in Newquay harbour. Through their family owned company Newquay fish Leon and Emmets catch is sold direct to consumers and businesses around Cornwall, including some of the finest seafood restaurants.
